If your QuNeo freezes during a firmware update on Windows 7 you likely just need to restart the update. Try the following:

• Unplug the QuNeo (it's ok, you won't hurt anything)
• Close the firmware update progress bar using the red 'X' button
• Plug your QuNeo back in
• The QuNeo Editor should prompt you to update your firmware again, click OK to start the update again
• This time the update should work — the Mode button will light up blue and should start flashing if the firmware update has started
• Wait for the update to finish and then you're good to go
